Re: RIP Mabel Arnold
May she rest in peace.
I could come back to this earth a hundred times and I still would not be half the supporter Mabel Arnold was

I'm dreaming dreams, I'm scheming schemes,
I'm building castles high.
They're born anew, their days are few,
Just like a sweet butterfly.
And as the daylight is dawning,
They come again in the morning!
I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Pretty bubbles in the air,They fly so high, nearly reach the sky,
Then like my dreams they fade and die.
Fortune's always hiding,
I've looked everywhere,
I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Pretty bubbles in the air.

If we were still in the FA Cup we could have had a fitting 102nd-minute round of applause in extra-time.

Cheers Pellers

RIP Mabel.

Re: RIP Mabel Arnold
Just rewatched the film of her with Slav and the players on her 101st. Not prone to much sentimentality but that was fantastic! She was absolutely sharp as anything too.

RIP Mabel

Hope the club are properly represented at Mabel's funeral. Not just the token claret & blue flower arrangement.

Photo on the big screen, minute applause next home game.

Over to you Messrs Sullivan and Gold.

Agree, would not shock to hear that Nobes pays his respect, date permitting
It's the sort of thing the lad does

Re: RIP Mabel Arnold
According to the official site her husband was a trainer and scout at the club from 1958 til he died in 1981.
Would seem obvious that the club be in attendance at her funeral.
She had still come to some games this season.
What a legend!

RIP Mabel

Re: RIP Mabel Arnold
She's witnessed all the highs of supporting West Ham, but also the underachievement and mediocrity and stuck with it through it all.

Seemed like a wonderful woman, real West Ham and may she rest in peace.
